The mission of Guided by Grace academic enrichment program is to enable East Baton Rouge Parish School System children to excel at academic endeavors and develop personal integrity through targeted multi-level interventions. The Guided by Grace tutoring program curriculum was developed and written by staff members with input from community stakeholders in the         education, employment, human services and health fields.

 
Population:
The After-School Tutoring services will be offered to individuals in grades 3 through 8 in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Class Size:

3-5 students per instructor

 Length of Session:
Tutoring sessions will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of   5pm-7pm.

Location:  Delmont Gardens Library 3351 Lorraine Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70805.

 Fee: 
Participants will not be assessed any fees for participation in the After-School Tutoring program.

 Guided by Grace After-School Tutoring Program will consist of:

•  Intake
  
  •  Students are referred to GBG through a business partnership process and direct request. Once the referral has been received, a GBG specialist will contact the parent to discuss specific concerns and schedule an initial meeting.                  
    

• Initial Meeting 
  
  • The initial meeting will include the parent and child or children. The goal of the initial meeting is to develop goals and refine processes to ensure each child  receives targeted interventions that address the stated problem while enhancing strengths and self-awareness skills. The initial meeting is concluded with a signed  contract between GBG, the parent and child.

• Service Plan:
  
  • ​A service plan will be developed during this meeting.  All meeting participants will be required to sign the service plan. The resources used to develop the service plan will be the child/children textbook. Tutoring style will supplement the current, accepted standards of learning for that subject.
